For me to somehow contribute or part take in this celebration is for me to appreciate it, i can be an audience who wants to be informed by watching shows, maybe filipino films since we communication students has subjects specialized for films and I’ll need to take the advantage to appreciate and learn what i see. Also i highly appreciate and love the show they did in the school orientation held on August 5 where Educ students also celebrates “Buwan ng Wika” with their dance performances wearing traditional Filipino clothes and it was amazing. If we in this program get to have a chance for doing activities like it or concerning with celebrating National Language qnd History, i hope to partake and help my possible mates for us to celebrate the event and show people how we appreciate the Language we have, for our work to ensure or apply that we’ve communicated our feelings on it and for us to influence them for everything to be enjoyed. – Mr Ramiro
As a communication enthusiast, I am glad that this month of August we celebrate National Language and History Month. It will be a good opportunity for us, who are communication students, to use our communication skills and the things we learn during our freshman year. We explore how to handle the matter of communicating by avoiding different communication barriers. Regarding that statement, as a communication student, I believe that by using our own voice to use our own language, we can develop a more clear and diverse interaction with Filipinos if we learn to communicate and accept our own language by heart and by flesh. Those voices we have can be present in any media that will allows us to communicate verbally or non-verbally.By using our own voices it will serve as our unity that we Filipinos are truly called “Makata” sa isip sa salita at sa gawa. Besides, this may be a small contribution, but size does not matter. Still, it will create a good impact for us communication students who are still in the phase of learning how to manage our own skills by contributing in any field of communicating. – Mr. Hadap
Throughout National Language and History Month, as a student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, I will be participating in a variety of ways that highlight the value of linguistic and historical literacy in our society. My ability to organize workshops and debates centered on the importance of language as a cultural artifact is one important thing I can offer. In addition to encouraging peers to explore the various languages that enrich our community, I may also urge peers to respect their own linguistic heritage by enabling talks on how language determines identity.
Another way I can participate is by using my communication talents to run social media campaigns to raise awareness of National Language and History Month. These days, social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are effective means of spreading knowledge. It is possible to increase public interest and respect for these subjects by producing interesting content, like infographics or short films, that emphasizes significant historical moments connected to language evolution or features well-known personalities in linguistic history.
To further improve my contributions this month, I may work with neighborhood organizations or schools to create educational activities. These programs could have interactive exercises that teach participants about significant historical moments in the evolution of language, or storytelling sessions that honor indigenous languages. Through the development of a common understanding of our shared heritage, such projects not only strengthen communal relationships but also advance learning.
Finally, as a Communication student, I have the special chance to use seminars, social media outreach, and educational partnerships to make a significant contribution to National Language and History Month. My goal will be to foster a deeper comprehension of our country’s identity, which is based on both language and history. – Mr. Zoleta
